Formada em Direito, ela construiu uma base sólida em uma área tradicional, mas foi ao se permitir explorar novos caminhos que encontrou aquilo que realmente a movia.
Em 2018, nasceu a Milla Borel Jewels, marca criada a partir de uma visão que une estética, sensibilidade e propósito. Mais do que peças de joalheria, a proposta da empresária sempre foi desenvolver joias que carregassem significado, capazes de acompanhar histórias e atravessar gerações.
Algum tempo depois, um dos momentos mais delicados de sua vida trouxe ainda mais profundidade a esse percurso. A perda de seu pai — que sempre acreditou em seu sonho e esteve presente em diversas etapas da construção da marca — transformou também a forma como Milla passou a enxergar o próprio trabalho. Seguir criando e desenvolvendo a Milla Borel Jewels tornou-se, de certa forma, uma maneira de honrar essa história.
Hoje, suas criações refletem não apenas elegância e sofisticação, mas também memória, emoção e resiliência — valores que passaram a fazer parte da essência da marca.

Entrepreneurship often begins with a sense of restlessness — and, in some cases, with moments of profound transformation. That was how businesswoman Milla Borel chose to reinvent her own path. With a degree in Law, she built a solid foundation in a traditional field, but it was by allowing herself to explore new directions that she discovered what truly moved her.
In 2018, Milla Borel Jewels was born — a brand created from a vision that brings together aesthetics, sensitivity, and purpose. More than jewelry pieces, her proposal has always been to develop creations that carry meaning, capable of accompanying stories and transcending generations.
Some time later, one of the most delicate moments of her life added even greater depth to this journey. The loss of her father — who always believed in her dream and was present in many stages of building the brand — also transformed the way Milla began to see her work. Continuing to create and develop Milla Borel Jewels became, in a way, a means of honoring that story.
Today, her creations reflect not only elegance and sophistication, but also memory, emotion, and resilience — values that have become part of the brand’s essence.
In this interview with YOUR Magazine, Milla Borel speaks about the moment that sparked her interest in the world of jewelry, the challenges of building an authorial brand, and the importance of turning personal experiences into inspiration.
Sua trajetória começou no Direito e tomou um novo rumo com a criação da Milla Borel Jewels. Em que momento você percebeu que o empreendedorismo e o universo das joias seriam o seu verdadeiro caminho?
Minha trajetória começou no Direito, uma área que me trouxe disciplina, visão estratégica e uma base muito sólida. Mas houve um momento muito marcante na minha vida: uma viagem à França. Estar em Paris, em contato com a tradição, a história e a sofisticação do universo da alta joalheria, despertou em mim uma nova forma de enxergar esse mundo.
Ali percebi que as joias não eram apenas acessórios, mas verdadeiras obras de arte, capazes de atravessar gerações e carregar histórias. Foi nesse momento que comecei a pensar com mais profundidade sobre esse universo e sobre a possibilidade de criar algo que traduzisse beleza, significado e identidade. Assim nasceu, de forma muito natural, a Milla Borel Jewels.
Your journey began in Law and took a new direction with the creation of Milla Borel Jewels. At what moment did you realize that entrepreneurship and the world of jewelry would be your true path?
My journey began in Law, a field that provided me with discipline, strategic vision, and a very solid foundation. But there was a defining moment in my life: a trip to France. Being in Paris, immersed in the tradition, history, and sophistication of the high jewelry world, awakened in me a new way of seeing this universe.
It was there that I realized jewelry was not just about accessories, but true works of art, capable of transcending generations and carrying stories. That was when I began to think more deeply about this field and the possibility of creating something that could translate beauty, meaning, and identity. And that is how Milla Borel Jewels was born, in a very natural way.
A perda do seu pai marcou profundamente sua história. De que forma esse momento transformou sua visão sobre a vida, os sonhos e a decisão de construir algo próprio?
Meu pai sempre foi um dos meus maiores apoiadores. Desde o início da Milla Borel Jewels ele acreditou no meu sonho e me acompanhava em muitas viagens para feiras de joias, onde buscávamos pedras preciosas e inspirações para as coleções.
Esses momentos ao lado dele foram muito especiais e fazem parte da essência da marca. A perda dele foi extremamente difícil, mas também me trouxe uma nova consciência sobre o valor do tempo e sobre a importância de honrar aquilo em que acreditamos.
Continuar construindo a Milla Borel Jewels também se tornou uma forma de manter vivo tudo o que ele acreditava em mim e no meu trabalho.
The loss of your father deeply marked your story. In what way did that moment transform your perspective on life, dreams, and the decision to build something of your own?
My father was always one of my greatest supporters. From the very beginning of Milla Borel Jewels, he believed in my dream and often accompanied me on trips to jewelry fairs, where we searched for precious stones and inspirations for the collections.
Those moments by his side were very special and are part of the essence of the brand. Losing him was extremely difficult, but it also brought me a new awareness of the value of time and the importance of honoring what we truly believe in.
Continuing to build Milla Borel Jewels also became a way of keeping alive everything he believed in—both in me and in my work.
As joias muitas vezes carregam significado emocional e simbólico. Como você traduz sentimentos, histórias e momentos da vida nas peças que cria?
Para mim, uma joia nunca é apenas um objeto. Ela carrega história, memória e emoção. Muitas vezes penso nas mulheres que irão usar aquela peça: seus momentos especiais, conquistas, celebrações ou até recomeços.
Tento traduzir isso no design, na proporção, na escolha das pedras e na delicadeza de cada detalhe. Acredito que uma joia verdadeira é aquela que acompanha a mulher ao longo da vida e passa a fazer parte da sua história.
Jewelry often carries emotional and symbolic meaning. How do you translate feelings, stories, and life moments into the pieces you create?
To me, a piece of jewelry is never just an object. It carries history, memory, and emotion. I often think about the women who will wear that piece—their special moments, achievements, celebrations, or even new beginnings.
I try to translate this into the design, the proportions, the choice of stones, and the delicacy of every detail. I believe that a true piece of jewelry is one that accompanies a woman throughout her life and becomes part of her story.
Empreender, especialmente em um mercado sofisticado como o da joalheria, exige coragem e identidade. Quais foram os maiores desafios que você enfrentou ao construir sua marca?
Empreender sempre envolve desafios, principalmente quando estamos construindo algo do zero. No meu caso, um dos maiores desafios foi conquistar credibilidade em um mercado tradicional e altamente competitivo.
Também precisei aprender muitas áreas ao mesmo tempo: criação, negócios, posicionamento e comunicação da marca. Mas acredito que quando existe paixão verdadeira pelo que fazemos, cada obstáculo se transforma em aprendizado. Hoje vejo cada etapa como parte fundamental da construção da identidade da Milla Borel Jewels.
Entrepreneurship—especially in a sophisticated market like jewelry—requires courage and a strong sense of identity. What were the biggest challenges you faced while building your brand?
Entrepreneurship always involves challenges, especially when you are building something from scratch. In my case, one of the biggest challenges was gaining credibility in a traditional and highly competitive market.
I also had to learn many areas at once: creation, business, brand positioning, and communication. But I believe that when there is genuine passion for what we do, every obstacle becomes a learning experience. Today, I see each stage as a fundamental part of building the identity of Milla Borel Jewels.
Hoje, olhando para sua trajetória e para o crescimento da Milla Borel Jewels, qual mensagem você gostaria de deixar para outras mulheres que desejam recomeçar ou transformar suas próprias histórias?
Eu diria que nunca é tarde para recomeçar ou seguir aquilo que realmente faz sentido para você. Muitas vezes a vida nos coloca diante de momentos difíceis, mas também são nesses momentos que descobrimos nossa força.
Acredite no seu talento, na sua visão e naquilo que move o seu coração. Quando uma mulher decide construir o próprio caminho, ela não transforma apenas a própria vida — ela inspira muitas outras ao redor.
Today, looking at your journey and the growth of Milla Borel Jewels, what message would you like to share with other women who wish to start over or transform their own stories?
I would say that it is never too late to start over or to pursue what truly makes sense to you. Life often places us in difficult moments, but it is precisely in those moments that we discover our strength.
Believe in your talent, your vision, and what moves your heart. When a woman decides to build her own path, she not only transforms her own life—she inspires many others around her.
